A) Appendix: HIDDEN mode |
It is possible to operate the server in HIDDEN mode. This particular mode allows the server to operate in a hidden manner, that is to say without a home screen or icon in the taskbar.
To do this, you must add a parameter to the server launch command line (Example of setting the launch shortcut under WINDOWS): |
C:\Windows\system32\javaw.exe -jar"C:\EuropeSoftwares\SpySound\SpySoundserver.jar" becomes C:\Windows\system32\javaw.exe -jar"C:\EuropeSoftwares\SpySound\SpySoundserver.jar" - hidden
Procedure for setting up HIDDEN mode |
- 1) Configure the server communication port (by default, this value is 48000).
- 2) Locate the IP address of the server computer (Attention: the IP address changes every three hours with certain providers. You must know the new value to continue to be able to connect to the server).
- 3) Check the box for automatic server startup.
- 5) Add the -hidden parameter to the server launch shortcut.
- 6) Restart the server or put the shortcut in the computer boot menu and restart the computer.
Attention : |
The server can then only be stopped by shutting down the computer or killing the process. You must of course remove the shortcut from the computer's start menu in the event of a restart.
